These days, you would see professionals carrying laptop bags on their way to work. Looking into these bags, you’d see the laptop and a couple of other important documents tucked in numerous bag pockets. But before laptop bags, people used attaché cases. These are practical and attractive leather box-like bags used mainly used to carry paperwork from one location to another. Professionals who made regular use of these bags range from lawyers and corporate executives to high school teachers and college professors.

Attaché cases are traditionally rectangular in shape, equipped with key or combination locks to secure the contents. It has a handle, which makes transporting the bag easier for the owner. It opens into two compartments – the main compartment where you can store files and folders, and the other compartment where you can put your pens, business cards and notepads. Modern attaché cases now include storage for laptop computers and handheld devices.
