Banking Made Easy?

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011

Two months ago, I had the worst experience in a bank! Admittedly, it took me awhile to get to the bank that day because I had other chores to do but I never expected that I would be in there for more than an hour when I was just making a deposit to my account!

My husband had asked me to deposit some money into our checking account before issuing anymore checks that month. When I had gotten to the bank, there was already a line at the two tellers but the bank did not open the third one. I went over to the deposit slips stack and found that they ran out of stock! I quickly asked for assistance and was told that one of the staff is already getting some from the store room. It took a full 15 minutes before the staff came back with a handful of deposit slips and by that time, more customers had come and waited and were now jostling there way to the slips while I stood there stuck and couldn’t move. It took awhile to fill up the slip because I had to wait my turn to use the pen provided. Then I had to fall in line all over again at the teller to process everything! By that time, there was only one teller open for some reason! It was so frustrating! I am never going to nag my husband about banking again! I’m going to suggest to him that we find another way so that neither of us have to go through this hassle again!

Making Deposits the Easy Way

In the not so distant past, people went to banks even for the most common transactions. They went there to deposit and withdraw money through a teller in the banks counter. But with the advent of internet banking and automated teller machines, more and more people have forgotten to fill out forms in the bank. There are withdrawal forms and bill payment forms among other papers inside a bank that can cause a lot of confusion for clients.

Filling out deposits slips for instance is fairly easy. But for a lot of people it can be impossible. There are even separate deposit slips for savings and checking accounts. But if you need to fill out these forms just make sure that you have your bank account number and the money and checks you need to deposit. You may also be required to write in your name and the date. For check deposits, you may be required to write down the check’s number.
