network cabling

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

I work for a fast growing retail company. When I joined the company many years ago, there were very few employees. There were fewer computers and phone lines. There were only eight store outlets too. Today there are 60 outlets in three states. Our office has since expanded. We used to have just two phone lines and one fax line; today we have an extensive network cabling system created by our IT department.

The office’s network cabling system was installed gradually. As we began to expand and needed more employees, we needed to upgrade our technology and facilities as well. Our office used to have a lean staff made up mostly of supervisors with no assistants. Today there are more supervisors and more assistants. Communication is not only important, it is crucial. Thus having the best network cabling system will certainly make everyone’s work easier.

business checks

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

Several software programs are now being installed and used by most companies to ease some necessary administrative tasks. Most of these programs can simultaneously compute more than one account, like the payroll system that could compute for base pay and all the taxes all at the same time. They also come with certain features like writing and recording of business checks. These checks have two basic types: manual and computer checks. Manual checks are often used for transactions between the company and client while computer checks are commonly used for payroll.

For a company that continues to grow and issues over 1,000 checks in a year, business checks would be perfect. They come with security features that will protect the company from possible fraud. These are expected to meet the standards set by the American Banking Association and are duly recognized by all banks. An automatic ordering system is usually in place to ensure that the company doesn’t run out of checks to issue.

ways to make extra money

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

Everybody can use a little extra cash for those small luxuries that we want to buy but don’t have the budget for. My friends and I have found that there are many ways to make extra money via the internet. Since I am the writer in our group, I earn online by submitting articles and blog posts online that earn me pocket money. A friend who has good business sense found her niche by selling her handmade jewelry via her own online store.

Still, our other friends found their own groove by researching other ways to make extra money. One maintains a blog that now rakes in a lot of dough through affiliate marketing and advertising. Another friend gathered “junk” from their house and sells them off eBay.

internet marketing system

Monday, February 1st, 2010

The business trend today seems to point towards internet based businesses. Unfortunately, the web based business has sailed. What I’m saying is if you plan to start now you find lots of competition. You won’t be a pioneer anymore but nor will you be at the tail end. Internet based business is still on the upswing. Word of advice; if you plan to start a web based business make sure you have an internet marketing system.

An internet marketing system will optimize your exposure of your website. It’s a proactive marketing approach. You just don’t put up a website and hope and wait that your customers will find you. You have to make it easy for your customers to find you. How do you do that? Well, you have to stand out in your field. You have to be the market leader and you have to be the authority. Once you achieve that then business success is knocking at your door. All you have to do next is make a good first impression.
