Make extra money online by investing a little time and effort. You can join affiliate programs that give members residual income just by advertising certain products on their websites. The advertisement you place on your blog or webpage is a link to an eStore. If you are able to lead customers to the eStore, you will be paid a certain percentage of the sale when they buy a product.

A lot of major companies in the internet today sell products online and have affiliate programs. Some affiliates are also getting paid using pay-per-click advertising where companies pay a certain amount for each visitor who clicks on the advertisement found on your website.

business opportunity

Monday, June 15th, 2009

I have always wanted to be an entrepreneur. This started ten years ago when I finished my MBA. Before my MBA graduation, I wanted to climb the corporate ladder. I figured that being a corporate executive was the best because you had all the perks. But when I experienced a burnout, I began to look at putting up my own business. I researched online and in several entrepreneur magazines on a possible business opportunity. I have tried several businesses since then, most of them failed but I still have not lost faith.

After I decided I wanted to be an entrepreneur, I put up a barbecue stand. It was short lived and tiring but very successful. Then my boyfriend and I saw a business opportunity in retailing. We opened a small retail store about seven years ago, that didn’t do too well. We closed after a year. Last year, we opened an internet café and coffee shop. Fortunately, our internet café and coffee shop is still there.

rubber stamping

Friday, June 12th, 2009

Scrapbooking has become a very popular craft among women (usually) of all ages. Scrapbooking started as a hobby for people who wanted to present their pictures in an organized way. They should be fun to look at and not at all boring in their presentation. With their popularity, the stores came out with cut-outs, colored paper and cardboard, specialized shears and everything else that can beautify a page. Before we could wink one eye, everything went crazy.

Then, rubber stamping came into the picture. Where before, stamped designs were drawn on potatoes and stamped on the material after being dipped in colors, now there is the convenience of many different designs with stamping pads with all sorts of colors. How can crafters not go crazy? It became a whole industry. Even children were sucked into the addiction. Now notebooks are not just the usual standard stapled set of ruled paper. It had to be personalized with stickers and florets and inspirational phrases.

women home based business

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

Before I became a mom, I was a workaholic. I wanted to learn all I could from my job so I could eventually put up a business of my own. When I had my eldest child, my whole world changed. I no longer wanted to climb the corporate ladder. I was on the lookout for a job that fell under the women home based business. I longed for a business that would enable me to say at home and watch over my new baby. I still needed to work because we needed the income to help pay for our household expenses.

I know I am not alone; there are millions of moms who long to spend more time with their kids. A women home based business would normally entail writing, freelancing, telemarketing, and producing home made products. There are so many crafts that women can do at home like needle craft, scrapbooks and toys. Most women entrepreneurs are moms who design and produce baby clothes, apparel and accessories. They have firsthand experience of what their babies need and what products are not easily available or affordable.

Supplemental income

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

In these times of a shrinking global economy everybody needs additional income. Supplemental income can be done by working longer hours on the job. Just don’t fall for the trick of slowing down on your work on regular hours so you have something to do on overtime. If your regular working hours will allow it, you can also do an extra part time job. Some things I can think of right now are bartending and designing clothes for women (and men, too).

Second jobs are not yet widely accepted because too much time is used up commuting but having sidelines, as we call it, are common. The advertising executive might also have a clothes and accessories boutique near her office. She hires somebody to take care of it and checks on it after work. I even know a teacher who sells collectible items in bazaars. There is nothing wrong with that if you really want supplemental income.
