Small Business

Wednesday, February 1st, 2012

My friends and I have set up a small company as we have always wanted to be our own bosses. After gaining much knowledge in the industry and also saving up enough to establish the business, we resigned our current jobs then and proceeded with our plan. This is something we have always wanted for ourselves and we were happy that this came much sooner than all of us expected.

One of the things which we invested early on was the VersaCheck system to make things much easier in the office. This provides an added security feature which we need especially since we are just starting off in the industry. The VersaCheck refills are also very inexpensive and we need not spend too much on overhead costs and supplies. Finding ways to manage our expenses is a must for us, and we are hoping to further bring the same down in order to enjoy higher net profits in the future.

Tuesday, December 6th, 2011

Corporate branding is important for any business. It is important not only for stakeholders, clients and investors to know about your company and products, it is also essential for the general public to be aware of the business. This is the reason why a lot of companies invest on marketing campaigns to increase their branding. This way, the enterprise will be made known to the public and possibly help in increasing sales.

There are other means by which one can establish such without having to spend much. A company can start off from simple things such as customizing their business checks in order to gain retention. Little by little, it can help businesses to become known on the public. It is a great marketing tool which allows more people to recognize your firm and may eventually need the company’s products or services in the future. This is a good starting point in making an impact on a person’s purchase decision.

Meeting Payments

Friday, November 4th, 2011

In any business, there is a need to continuously pay suppliers, utility and other expenses related to the company operations. The regular need for processing payments in an organization is something which must be done for the operations to fully continue. Delays in payment would mean delays in the delivery of products and raw materials to the business, which would then affect production. Delays in production would then result in various issues with clients expecting timely delivery of goods, therefore affecting the business as a whole.

This is why meeting payment deadlines are important in any enterprise. It is for this reason why any business would need constant stocks of their checks in order to process payment for all suppliers and contractors. One should not suffer from delayed payments only because the company has run out of checks they need. In order to meet payments on time at all times, the company needs to order checks and have a good amount of stock for undisrupted business operations. It is important for any business to have efficient and effective operations, so ordering checks is critical as it may affect the dealings of a company.

The Crucial One

Wednesday, July 20th, 2011

The mobilizing development of the world market is really prevalent in our time. There are lots of emerging huge and aggressive corporations that highly prioritize financial entities. That’s why checks play an important role in every business. Checks are used to aid big transactions and transfer of money. And among the different types of checks, blank checks are the most crucial of them all.

Blank checks are literally checks that has no numerical value written on it. But what is critical about this check is that it has been already signed. Generally, it is used in terms of situations with high level of trusts between two parties. It becomes dangerous because it can be used to wipe out someone’s entire bank account. People must learn how to manage and handle blank checks to ensure the safety of their funds.

Embezzling Via Business Checks

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

Like the government, businesses should have checks and balances. In Pennsylvania, a woman was recently charged with embezzling nearly $1.4 million from her employers. She wrote business checks to herself, used the company debit card, and gave herself bonuses and pay raises.

The woman was employed by the company for 11 years, and at the time of her firing was the office manager. I can’t help but wonder why the accountant – if there was one – did not catch that so much money was missing. An office manager has access to bulk blank checks on top for ease of printing, so there should have been someone else checking the books. No matter how well you think you know your business associates, it’s important to double check the books to make sure there is no funny business.

Get ahead financially and save money as much as you can. Stop ordering costly checks from your bank. Use your own home printer instead to print your own checks. Just remember to use special paper and magnetic ink.

It is very convenient to order checks online. There are a lot of web-based stores that carry blank checks made of paper that come with full security features. Businesses that use a money management program can buy certain check stocks made especially for them. This makes it easy to automatically print checks for certain expenses that are part of your bookkeeping program.
